Advised and assisted the brigade in the conduct of Electronic Warfare (EW) and assisted staff in EW employment and planning. Oversaw support of ground Counter Radio Electronic Warfare (CREW) crew systems and crew personnel. Prepared recommendations for utilization of operational / training resources.  Reviewed, analyzed and initiated reports based on data collected by EW operations. Led battalion Electronic Warfare Officers (EWOs) in tracking and maintaining Counter Radio Electronic Warfare (CREW) readiness for the brigade. Directed and coordinated electronic data collection. Managed and directed software and hardware upgrades for systems valued at more than $100M.

·   Selected to become one of the first Army officers to act as the sole provider of EW expertise to a maneuver brigade.

·   Managed software changes, systems upgrades, and processed repair and fielding actions, ensuring that the brigade’s Soldiers were equipped and prepared for the current threat.

·   Acquired off the shelf technologies that helped the brigade obtain scopes, sights, pre-triggering devices and camera systems that improved situational awareness and soldier safety.

Logistical Support Manager, Battalion Chemical Officer

US Army, HHC 296th Battalion, Fort Lewis WA and Iraq; September, 2005 – September, 2007

Managed a Field Artillery Logistical Support Team in a Brigade Combat Team, supporting operations during an Iraq deployment. Planned, coordinated, and provided logistics support to a Field Artillery Battalion. Oversaw and tracked distribution and transportation operations, including supplies and services for munitions, field feeding, mortuary affairs, and liaison. Supervised a Brigade Support Battalion with responsibility for 28 personnel. As the Battalion Chemical Officer, performed as the Assistant to the Operations, Plans, and Training officer in the unit deployed to Iraq. Provided combat service support and combat health support to a Brigade Combat Team. Planned, coordinated and supervised night shift battalion Tactical Operations Center including chemical defense, force protection, tactical mission planning and execution.

·   Recognized by senior officers for the ability to embrace new challenges and convert them into effective actions.

·   Submitted and traced 200 Air and Transportation Movement Requests, moving soldiers, equipment and mission critical supplies, ensuring continuous logistic support to the Red Lion Task Force.
